PALM BEACH ESTATE FIND!! Midcentury Modern Scandinavian Modern art glass vase with all over incised decoration by artist Hilkka Liisa Ahola. Manufactured by Nuutajarvi Notsjo Finland. It measures 8" tall and 4.25” in diameter across the top. The design is an engraved image of a girl with flowing hair with all over design of birds (I believe they are chickens) and leaves. It has a simple, Picasso style line drawing style. The base is signed Notsjoe HLA and we believe it was produced in the mid 1950s since Ahola left Notsjoe in 1960 and went on to design dishes and art pottery for Arabia Finland.
Overall condition is very good+ however there is one significant rim chip along the edge of the vase which could possibly be ground down or repaired by a professional. See all photos and ask any questions you may have prior to offer or purchase. This is sold AS IS and AS FOUND.
