PALM BEACH ESTATE TREASURE Highbrow or Lowbrow? In the manner of Wayne Thiebaud, this colorful Pop Art Realism painting on brown kraft paper appears to be a mix of pencil and crayon or pastels. We didn’t open up the frame but it is unsigned and undated as far as we can tell. The tiers of cupcakes are super colorful and the piece has a sweet, naive quality yet is artfully done. The framing is exceptional, with the red/yellow wood checkerboard pattern and the complimentary double matte of blue and yellow. It measures 20” x 26” overall. I would guess this is 80s or 90s era. Condition is excellent with no damage. Please ask any and all questions prior to offer or purchase.
