PALM BEACH ESTATE FIND!! Huge vintage Modernist ceramic fish sculpture. Such a charming expression! Thick pottery with drippy glaze. It is unmarked but closely resembles the work of Ivo de Santis for Gli Etruschi (which is also sometimes unmarked) or possibly Guido Bitossi (Raymor). It throws off serious Aldo Londi or Alvino Bagni vibes!
My opinion is it’s 60s or 70s era. I am not claiming to be able to attribute it, but am selling it “in the style of” and hopefully someone will recognize it. Regardless, it is a striking piece and will complement a variety of funky decors.
Condition is overall excellent with no major damage aside from two unnoticeable chips at the base which could be from firing. It is extremely heavy and weighs just under 10 lbs! Measures 15” long, 9” tall and approx 7” wide. Please ask any and all questions prior to offer or purchase.
