PALM BEACH ESTATE FIND! Willy SEILER Etching with hand-coloring entitled “Shrewd Bartering” depicts an Asian street scene with vendors and shoppers. Very detailed! The print appears to be in good condition with no signs of major damage, however there is yellowing to the matte and the paper, most obviously along the bottom edge. See all photos.


Overall measurements are 17” wide x 14” tall framed in wood and the image measures approx 12” x 9” within the matte. Please ask any and all questions prior to offer or purchase.


Will Seiler, born and educated in the arts in Germany, reportedly departed from Germany in 1928, embarking on a journey across Europe and various parts of the world. Following World War II, he established a permanent residence in Japan, specifically in Karuizawa. Seiler was known for his proficiency in creating etchings and paintings, primarily catering to members of the US occupation force in Japan.
