PALM BEACH ESTATE FIND!! Monumental Studio Art Pottery vase by Jamie Davis, circa 1980s. It measures a whopping 12” tall and approximately 10” at its widest midsection with a 4” flared opening. Has a funky, Postmodern Memphis Milano era PostImpressionist vibe! It is made of Raku fired black clay with an interesting abstract glaze, almost looks airbrushed or stenciled. Impressed JD mark on base. Condition appears excellent with no damage I can see. Please ask any and all questions prior to offer or purchase.

Ceramicist Jamie Davis was born in Philadelphia in 1945. He earned a BA from Vanderbilt University, Nashville, in 1967, an MA from Exeter College, England, in 1971, and an MFA from Clemson University, South Carolina, in 1973. His work has been exhibited at the Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D.C., and in many major museums, galleries and private collections.
